Dr. A. Loot

Workshop on vascular function (1½ day): Course includes practical experience in blood vessel isolation and organ bath experiments. While the 1st ½ day will be spent learning the basics of preparation and experimental technique, the second day will be spent identifying "substance X". Successful completion of the course requires the submission of an experimental report outlining the methods used and results obtained. The practical course is limited to 2 groups of 6 (2 different dates).

Workshop on platelet function (1 day): Course includes practical experience in platelet isolation and assessment of function by determining aggregation, clot retraction and/or platelet [Ca2+]i. Successful completion of the course requires the submission of an experimental report outlining the methods used and results obtained. The practical course is limited to 2 groups of 6 (2 different dates).
